Here at GXO, we're looking for a Payroll & HR Coordinator to join our team at River Island in Milton Keynes where you will play a key role in delivering an accurate, efficient and people-focused HR and payroll service. Working closely with operational leaders, colleagues and central support teams, you'll help manage payroll activities, support the employee lifecycle, maintain HR systems and records, and contribute to engagement initiatives that make our site a great place to work. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and working with data to support business success

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00

  • We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £30,000.00 per annum, and 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays).

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Support the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with key deadlines
  • Coordinate employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, contractual changes and offboarding
  • Maintain accurate HR and payroll records across a variety of systems and databases
  • Provide administrative support for employee relations, absence management and HR processes
  • Produce reports, analyse data and support continuous improvement initiatives across HR and payroll activities

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Previous experience within HR, payroll administration or a similar coordination role
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information with integrity
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, along with HR and payroll systems
  • A collaborative and customer-focused approach, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
