Job Title

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded P&C to join a growing organisation at a pivotal stage of its development.

We are looking for a senior HR&People Consultant who will shape and implement our People and Culture strategy, building strong foundations that will enable our business to scale successfully. This role is ideal for someone looking for 1 day work with 1-2 years contract while still having a meaningful impact at a strategic level. We’re happy to discuss your flexible working arrangements.

You will be a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team, responsible for driving the people agenda, leading organisational change, and establishing robust HR policies, processes, and frameworks from scratch.

What you’ll be doing:

People Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive People and Culture strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans
  • Shape and embed a positive, high-performing organisational culture
  • Provide leadership and direction on all people-related matters

Organisational Design & Growth

  • Design and implement organisational structures that support business growth
  • Develop workforce planning and succession strategies
  • Create scalable people frameworks suitable for a growing organisation
  • Support leadership development and capability building across the business

Policies, Processes & Compliance

  • Create and implement people-focused policies and procedures from scratch
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and best HR practices
  • Establish clear, fair, and consistent HR processes across the organisation

Employee Experience & Performance

  • Build and implement performance management frameworks
  • Develop learning and development strategies to support employee growth
  • Create an employee experience framework that promotes engagement and retention
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive workplace culture

What you’ll need:

  • Proven experience as a Head of HR / Head of People / People Director or similar senior role
  • Experience of creating a People strategy from scratch
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance
  • Experience in growing organisations or scale-up environments
  • A track record of designing and implementing HR frameworks, policies, and processes
  • Experience in leadership development and succession planning
  • Motivated by building something from the ground up
  • Collaborative, solutions-focused, and adaptable
