09:00 - 17:30 working hours
Based in Central London

We are offering a 12-month placement opportunity for students currently enrolled on a sandwich degree programme to join our HR team and gain first-hand experience in one of the most dynamic HR environments in the industry.

There are multiple roles available across our HR function, including fixed and rotational opportunities in the following areas:

HR Operations

The HR Operations team manages the day-to-day processes, systems, records and compliance that keep the employee experience running smoothly.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Supporting core HR processes across the employee lifecycle
  • Being a point of contact for HR and benefits queries
  • Managing internal HR documentation and support payroll coordination
  • Owning and delivering defined HR projects
  • Liaising with third-party providers to ensure seamless benefit delivery

Marketing and Communications

The Marketing and Communications team manages G-Research's external reputation and internal culture through brand partnerships, events, content and employer brand campaigns across the UK and internationally.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of conference sponsorships, STEM partnerships and brand attraction events
  • Assisting with the organisation and on-the-day delivery of internal and external events, including logistics, suppliers and attendees
  • Coordinating branded merchandise, marketing collateral and event assets, including shipping, print and inventory tracking
  • Creating and curating content for internal and external channels, including social media, blogs and website updates
  • Supporting social media planning, publishing and performance tracking
  • Assisting with event content capture and distribution, working closely with the Content Lead
  • Sourcing technical talent for our campus events and programmes
  • Supporting the team with coordinating university partnerships
  • Contributing to the end-to-end recruitment for our placement year hiring
  • Attending career events and contributing to increasing brand awareness on campus

Reward and Talent Acquisition

The Reward team designs, manages and communicates the company’s pay, benefits and wellbeing offerings. Its aim is to ensure employees are rewarded fairly and competitively while supporting the organisation in attracting, retaining and looking after talented people.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Reward

  • Gathering and analysing market data to benchmark salaries and support competitive pay decisions
  • Creating clear and engaging communications to help employees understand their pay, benefits and the overall reward package
  • Supporting the delivery of employee benefits and wellbeing initiatives, including pensions, healthcare, insurance and employee discounts
  • Maintaining accurate pay and benefits records, processing relevant updates and handling information confidentially
  • Liaising with benefit providers, advisers and other external partners to resolve queries and coordinate services

Talent Acquisition

  • Sourcing technical talent using a variety of recruitment tools
  • Mapping out talent from top tier companies and universities
  • Contributing to ad-hoc projects

HR Placement Year (Sandwich Degree) interview process

Candidates selected after CV review will be invited to submit a short cover letter indicating their preferred role
Interviews will begin in October 2026
Please note: we can only consider applicants enrolled on a sandwich degree programme with an expected graduation in 2029
