We have a 12 month fixed term contract within our HR Position Management team. The Team
Our HR Position Management team works in partnership across HR centers of excellence to design and implement operational excellence delivering seamless people systems to Bloomberg's 20,000 employees globally. We partner with business units to drive process improvements to manage our talent lifecycle.
What's the role?
You will be a part of a team passionate about human capital operational excellence. The advocate for process improvement providing strategic insights through comprehensive and effective data governance standards and practices across all aspects of HR- related data collection, management and usage. You'll take ownership for the management and improvement of processes that directly impact data structures including Position Management and data required for Human Capital Measurement.
You'll be hands on with key stakeholders by educating, training, and guiding clients on self-service tools and how to utilize our systems to influence business and process improvements. You’ll have the opportunity to build a network across the different centers of excellence within HR as you report on headcount and positions, assist with internal reorganizations, and prepare data for year-end processes.
We’ll Trust You To
- Work collaboratively with internal HR teams to improve efficiency and consistently execute HR business processes
- Understand and execute on Bloomberg’s end-to-end HR business processes related to the position management process by continually reviewing and improving processes by working with a range of clients, including technology and engineering teams
- Support and improve data quality through regular business process and data review, identifying gaps and opportunities for modifications and enhancements where necessary
- Support complex transactions across the HR technology platforms, by assisting with reviews, inputs, and reports as audits as necessary
- Work with stakeholders across the firm to ensure data from the HCM is properly and effectively integrated with disparate systems and processes both downstream and upstream
- Conduct regular one-on-one and group sessions with key clients to review procedures and enhancements
- Possesses strong communication, strategic thinking and outstanding problem-solving skills with an exceptional attention to detail
- Draft and maintain process documentation related to position management and related business process configurations

You’ll Need To Have
- Experience working within Human Resources, HR Operations, HR Technology, People Analytics, or a related function, with an understanding of core HR business processes and data
- Experience working with Human Capital Management (HCM) systems; familiarity with Workday or a comparable HR technology platform is highly desirable
- Experience managing, reviewing, or maintaining HR data, with an understanding of the importance of data accuracy, integrity, governance, and controls
- Demonstrated experience identifying process gaps and opportunities for improvement, and partnering with stakeholders to implement more efficient and scalable solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate data or process issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions
- Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups and the ability to translate business requirements into clear processes, documentation, or system-related actions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain processes and systems to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment

We’d Love To See
- Experience with Position Management, organizational structures, headcount management, reorganizations, or other position-related HR processes
- Familiarity with Workday reporting, business processes, organizational structures, or position management functionality
- Experience working with HR data integrations or partnering with HR technology, engineering, or systems teams on upstream and downstream data flows
- Experience supporting data audits, reconciliation, reporting, or data-quality initiatives
- Advanced proficiency with Excel or other tools used to analyze, manipulate, and validate large data sets
- A continuous-improvement mindset and an interest in identifying opportunities to simplify, automate, or improve existing processes
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify inconsistencies or issues that may have broader impacts across systems and processes
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to develop a broad understanding of HR processes, systems, and how data moves across the organization
- A collaborative and client-focused approach, with the confidence to ask questions, challenge existing processes constructively, and influence stakeholders
