HR Programme Tutor

Police Scotland are now recruiting for an HR Programme Tutor to join our Leadership, Talent & Performance department. This is an excellent opportunity to use your expertise, creativity and passion to shape the skills and confidence of our workforce.

In your role you will design, develop and deliver a range of leadership, development and talent interventions associated with the delivery of the Police Leadership Development Programme (PLDP), which is the organisational qualification for promotion, to meet the needs of individuals and Police Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver inputs using a range of delivery skills on Leadership, Development and Talent programmes
  • Provide student support and supervision to staff engaged on the recognised Police Scotland promotion qualification
  • Manage an agreed group of students; provide regular 1:1 tutorial support taking forward any agreed needs
  • Design and implement assessment strategies and instruments consistent with the outcomes of the programme, the needs of the students and of the organisation
  • Work in partnership across the justice and public sector to develop strong working relationships and collaborative opportunities
  • Recommend appropriate action following any internal audit or external inspection and present compliance updates within specific timescales
