About Us
We're The HR Fixers — a specialist consultancy helping organisations bring their HR systems, processes and people together more effectively. SAP SuccessFactors is central to what we do, and it's an area we know in real depth: full implementation lifecycles, multiple modules, and the practical realities of delivering complex change. We work as trusted partners to our clients' HR, IT and Finance teams, combining technical expertise with a genuinely hands-on, delivery-focused approach. As a small, specialist consultancy, we take on programmes where that depth of knowledge and the ability to move quickly - make a real difference.
The Role
This role is needed to enable newly won clients and shape their needs into a properly structured programme.
You'll shape what the work to what it needs to be, build the roadmap behind it, write the business case that justifies it, and then lead the projects that deliver it. You'll lead the project team on the ground — HR Fixers consultants, client-side colleagues and partners — setting the plan, allocating the work and upholding the delivery standard.
This is a hands-on role. You'll be in the room building the plan with the client and the team, rather than commissioning one and reviewing it later. The role requires strong subject knowledge: understanding what a SuccessFactors build involves, how it should be sequenced, and where the dependencies lie — so you can put together a credible plan quickly and defend it with confidence.
We're a small consultancy, so there is no PMO behind you. You'll write the plan, chair the meeting and build the steerco pack yourself, with the autonomy that comes with it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What You Will Do
Shape:
- Take a newly won client and turn it into a structured programme — scope, sequencing, governance and resourcing
- Build the HR technology roadmap: what we do now, what comes next, and why
- Write and defend the business case — cost-benefit analysis, investment profile, benefits realisation
- Agree the operating model for the programme: who decides what, how change is handled, what gets escalated
Plan (Hands On):
- Build the plan in the room. Run the scoping and planning sessions yourself and come out with something credible and agreed, not an action to go away and draft one
- Bring the domain knowledge to make that possible — you know what an Employee Central or Compensation build actually takes, so you can size it, challenge an estimate on the spot and name the dependency nobody has flagged
- Own the detail: milestones, dependencies, critical path, resource profile and the data and integration touchpoints
- Re-plan quickly when reality moves, and be straight with the client about what it costs them
Deliver:
- Run multiple projects in parallel, each with its own plan, budget and team
- Lead the project team day to day — set the plan, allocate the work, track delivery against it and clear the blockers
- Own the programme plan, budget, RAID and reporting, right up to steering committee
- Write the status reports and build the board packs yourself; there's no PMO to hand it to
- Hold the delivery standard: quality, retrospectives and better ways of working
Engage:
- Be a senior client contact, trusted and straight-talking, across HR, IT and Finance
- Translate across the whole business — technical constraint into business language, and back again
- Work alongside our consultants as a peer: credible enough on the subject that they'll bring you the hard problems first
- Keep an eye on what's next, and help shape the following phase of work
What You Will Bring
- Strong programme and project management. Multiple projects running at once, each with its own plan, budget and team — not one project with a few workstreams
- A solid SAP SuccessFactors delivery background across multiple modules and full lifecycles, with live go-lives behind you
- Business case development — cost-benefit analysis and investment cases you've built and defended yourself
- Roadmap shaping — you can look 18–24 months out and sequence it credibly
- Hands-on and domain-credible. Enough depth in SuccessFactors delivery and HR transformation to build a plan live in a workshop, size the work and challenge an estimate as it's given
- Happy doing the work yourself — plans, packs, status reports — without a PMO behind you
- Experience leading project teams you don't line manage — consultants, client-side resource and third parties
- Consultancy or professional services experience; you know what it is to be the supplier in the room
- Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and to a large room
- Seriously organised, with the attention to detail to match, and strong PowerPoint and Excel
- UK-based with the right to work here without sponsorship, and happy to travel to client sites
