Job Title: HR Project Manager
Location: London / Hybrid
Contract Type: 6 months contract
Our client, a leading organisation in the utilities sector, is seeking an experienced HR Project Manager to spearhead transformative HR initiatives across both the UK and US. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering the global People Function portfolio, engaging with key projects that will shape the future of HR within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple complex People Function projects from initial planning to successful delivery.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables with precision.
- Collaborate closely with HR leaders, business executives, IT, and other stakeholders to align priorities and secure essential approvals.
- Direct cross-functional project teams, providing clear direction, support, and accountability.
- Identify potential risks, resolve issues, and implement effective mitigation plans to ensure projects remain on track.
- Support change management initiatives and develop communication strategies to drive the adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Oversee the integration of HR technology implementations with existing systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Track project performance, analyse data, and provide regular updates to leadership to ensure transparency and progress monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with relevant UK and US laws, regulations, and industry best practices throughout all project phases.

About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong project management experience, with proficiency in Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and influencing abilities.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of leveraging data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- A solid understanding of HR processes, policies, and technology solutions.
- An adaptable, organised mindset, thriving in fast-paced and evolving environments.
Specialist Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 5 years as an HR Business Project Manager, with a strong focus on end-to-end management of procurement projects and RFPs.
- Experience within the energy sector is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with background screening projects and initiatives would be a bonus.
Qualifications
- Project Management Qualification: PRINCE2, AgilePM/DSDM/Scrum, PMP, CSM, or similar is required.
- A degree-level qualification or equivalent industry experience is essential.
- Specialised qualifications in HR or related solutions would be advantageous.
