About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading energy services organisation to recruit an experienced HR & Recruitment Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HR professional who enjoys balancing operational HR, recruitment, employee relations, payroll support, and people development within a fast-paced and growing business.
The Role
As HR & Recruitment Lead, you will manage the full employee lifecycle, from attraction and onboarding through to employee relations, payroll administration support, organisational change projects, and learning & development initiatives.
You will become a trusted advisor to managers and employees, ensuring compliance, consistency, and best practice across all HR processes.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activity across the organisation.
- Partner with hiring managers to deliver successful recruitment campaigns.
- Coordinate interviews, assessments, offers, contracts, and onboarding.
- Ensure Right to Work compliance and pre-employment screening requirements are met.
- Drive improvements in candidate experience and recruitment efficiency.

Employee Relations
- Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
- Support and lead disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and capability processes.
- Prepare HR documentation and correspondence.
- Attend investigations, formal meetings, and hearings as required.
- Escalate complex cases appropriately while ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
Payroll & HR Administration
- Prepare and submit payroll information to external providers.
- Carry out payroll checking and reconciliation activities.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
Learning & Development
- Deliver training and coaching to managers on HR policies and people management practices.
- Support induction programmes and employee development initiatives.
- Coordinate mandatory training and compliance requirements.
People Operations
- Support restructures, organisational change projects, and consultation processes.
- Assist with policy development and implementation.
- Contribute to employee engagement initiatives.
- Support annual HR processes including performance reviews, pay reviews, and bonus cycles.

Team Leadership
- Manage and support the HR & Recruitment Administrator.
- Prioritise workload and maintain high service standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and efficiencies.
About You
Essential
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience within a broad HR generalist role.
- Strong employee relations experience, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management.
- Experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes.
- Knowledge of payroll administration and HR processes.
- Solid understanding of UK employment law.
- Experience advising, coaching, and influencing managers.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
