Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive HR Recruitment Assistant (Volunteer) to join our People & Culture department through our 16-week unpaid Professional Development Programme. This remote position requires a commitment of 12 hours per week, typically scheduled across two 6-hour workdays between Monday and Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interview Management: Coordinate, schedule, and conduct end-to-end candidate interviews to ensure a seamless recruitment experience.
  • Candidate Evaluation: Use behavioural and situational interviewing techniques to assess candidate skills, qualifications, and cultural fit.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand team needs and provide actionable feedback on candidates.
  • Candidate Experience: Build strong relationships with applicants, providing timely updates and maintaining a positive experience.
  • ATS & Compliance: Keep detailed records in the Applicant Tracking System while ensuring all processes adhere to legal requirements and Equality Act guidelines.

  • 3+ years of recruitment or interviewing experience.
  • Background or degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (CIPD Level 3 or equivalent is a plus).
  • Strong interpersonal communication and candidate assessment skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
