The HR Team at LJMU

The HR Team at LJMU supports every stage of the employee journey from recruitment and onboarding through to development, progression and wellbeing. We work in partnership with colleagues across the University to deliver people-focused services that help create an inclusive, supportive and high-performing workplace for our circa. 3,000 employees.

We are now looking for an HR Resourcing Assistant

We are now looking for an HR Resourcing Assistant to join our team and play a key role in helping us attract and recruit talented people who make a difference across the University.

About The Role

As a member of our HR Resourcing team, you will be one of the first points of contact for prospective employees, recruiting managers and visitors to HR. You will play an important role in ensuring candidates receive an excellent experience throughout the recruitment process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advertising vacancies across a range of platforms
  • Supporting recruiting managers throughout the recruitment process and ensuring compliance with policy
  • Preparing and issuing offers and contracts of employment
  • Coordinating and completing pre-employment checks
  • Maintaining accurate records across our HR and recruitment systems
  • Providing advice and support to candidates and colleagues on recruitment processes

This is a varied and fast-paced role that requires excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering outstanding customer service.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Communicates confidently and professionally with a wide range of people
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to customer service
  • Has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in producing accurate work
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook
  • Enjoys working as part of a collaborative team

Experience of working in an HR environment is desirable and experience of using HR and e-recruitment/applicant tracking systems would be an advantage. However, we are equally interested in candidates who can demonstrate transferrable administrative and customer service skills, a good knowledge of HR recruitment administration and a willingness to learn.
