Just like you.
Are you ready to shape the future of HR service delivery? As our HR Service Delivery Manager, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant HR operations while leading a motivated team to deliver exceptional employee experiences. This role isn’t just about administration, it’s about driving service excellence, nurturing talent, and making sure every HR process runs like clockwork. If you thrive on leadership, problem-solving, and creating impact across the employee lifecycle, this is your chance to make a real difference.
At Lidl, we offer a hybrid working model to give you the best of both worlds. And with up to two days at home, you’ll find the work/life balance you need to thrive.
What you'll do
- Manage end-to-end HR administration: onboarding, offboarding, payroll support, HR data management, and HR system transactions. Maintain and update HR knowledge resources (SOPs, FAQs, policy documents) for employees and the team.
- Monitor KPIs and SLAs, reporting performance and driving improvements to meet service targets.
- Act as the escalation point for complex HR queries, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Lead, coach, and mentor HR Service Delivery Officers and Administrators. Identify and nurture employee potential through structured development measures.
- Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and delegate tasks to balance workloads effectively.
- Foster a culture of customer service excellence and positive team collaboration.
- Ensure staff are trained on HR policies, compliance requirements, and systems.
- Handle employee-related operational issues such as recruitment approvals, contract sign-offs, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure HR processes and documentation comply with employment law and company policies, uphold data protection standards.
- Conduct internal audits and maintain accurate employee records (e-filing).
- Oversee preparation of contracts and references, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement workflow management tools (e.g., HR Now, ER case tool) to track and prioritise workload.
- Manage organisational management compliance (e.g., managerial assignments, OM structure).
- Promote awareness of legal obligations and ensure adherence across the team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
