Summary
The HR Generalist provides comprehensive support across the business, ensuring the effective delivery of HR services and contributing to a positive employee experience. This role partners with managers and employees to support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, and policy compliance in alignment with company values and statutory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related queries.
- Support in resolving employee concerns, promoting positive workplace culture.
- Assist with investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievance processes in accordance with company policies.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and offer management.
- Oversee new hire onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition and strong early engagement.
- Maintain relationships with hiring managers to understand workforce needs.

HR Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection laws.
- Prepare HR documentation, such as employment contracts, letters, and policy updates.
- Support payroll and benefits administration where required.
Performance & Development
- Assist managers with performance review processes and employee development planning.
- Monitor probation periods and follow up on required documentation.
- Support training initiatives and assist in identifying skills gaps.
Policy & Compliance
- Ensure HR practices comply with employment legislation and internal policies.
- Contribute to policy development, review, and communication.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
HR Reporting
- Compile and analyse HR metrics (e.g., absence, turnover, recruitment activity).
- Provide insights to support decision-making and HR strategy.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an HR Generalist or HR Administrator role.
- Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
