About the Role

WFS P&A (Workforce Staffing Product and Analysis) org is part of the People experience and Talent (“PXT”) organization. As a member of the PXT org, WFS (P&A) removes business complexity and mitigates staffing risk through data, insights, and science models. (P&A) helps build capabilities, defined as products, programs, reporting, and models, that generate insights to optimize staffing performance, labour planning, funnel throughput, and candidate placement.

We are looking for someone with expertise in data analytics skills, strong business acumen, an ownership mindset and ability to clearly communicate. In this role, you will leverage our data to drive efficiencies, provide key data-driven insights, enable new opportunities and innovate on behalf of business customers, in close partnership with business teams.

This role is a part of the Global risk intelligence team and is accountable for the inspection of hiring funnel health to support tactical and strategic risk mitigation mechanisms. You will partner with WFS Central Teams, Agency Risk Specialists and WFS Business Management Execution (BME) team to deliver hiring insights and prioritized mitigations for short-, medium- and long-term hiring risk.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and works with multiple teams and is responsible for high impact to the bottom line and decision-making framework.
  • This role requires solving complex business problems through discovery, development, pilot, reporting and execution of the said program. Needs to ensure a clear business requirement is gathered, project prioritized in the tech roadmaps and tested for scale and operational excellence.
  • To build understanding of the business to come up with a solution for reoccurring issues and financial impact and the rigour of updates that help gain leadership trust.
  • Strong business acumen with good judgement. Able to evaluate and make trade-offs short vs. long-term needs.
  • Handle complex problems/efforts, decisions and escalations.
  • Skilled mediator, able to balance conflicting priorities and finds a path forward in difficult situations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of internal and external metrics, drivers and focus areas for the business and organisation.
  • Comfortable using data and evidence to convey ideas and recommendations on complex topics that scale across regions.
  • Adaptable and flexible to respond to the changing needs of the business while maintaining velocity.
  • An enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
  • Comfortable with high volume workload.

A Day in the Life

Within WFS (P&A), Global risk Intelligence (GRI) team leverages data, insights, and scientific models to streamline business processes and mitigate staffing risks. The GRI oversees Tactical and Strategic Risk Mitigation (TSM), utilizing various capabilities such as application demand analysis and marketing recommendations to support over 2,000 Amazon Workforce Staffing (WFS) sites globally. The team also collaborates with WFS and Worldwide Operations to plan financial incentives to mitigate hiring risk.

We work closely with leadership to:

  1. Drive standardization across the network
  2. Address a wide range of challenges, from strategic planning to real-time problem-solving
  3. Adapt quickly to evolving business needs

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
  • 3+ years of change management experience
