Elevation HR are recruiting for an experienced HR Specialist – Systems & Payroll to join a growing business on a permanent basis.
Working for an established manufacturing business this is a great opportunity for someone with a strong HR Shared Services or HR Operations / Payroll background, who enjoys working with HR systems, payroll and data, alongside providing practical HR support to managers and employees.
We’re looking for someone who is confident, personable, and systems-focused, with good attention to detail and a proactive approach to improving processes. The role also offers the opportunity to become more involved in the generalist HR for the business, supporting the HR Manager on operational HR activity, and in line with this will offer CIPD qualification sponsorship if desired. Moreover this is a super positive environment and therefore keen for someone to bring energy and enthusiasm to the team.

- Acting as the main user for the HR systems, ensuring accurate data and effective system use
- Preparing payroll changes, checking reports and resolving discrepancies alongside the external payroll provider
- Producing HR reports and management information
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR databases
- Identifying and supporting improvements to HR processes and systems
- Administering benefits and Occupational Health referrals
- Supporting managers with absence, performance, conduct and other employee relations matters
- Providing practical HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, training and wider HR projects
- Supporting the HR Manager with the wider people strategy and deputising when required

Requirements
The ideal HR Specialist will have:
- Previous experience within HR Shared Services, HR Operations or a similar HR Specialist/Advisor role
- Strong experience using HR systems/HRIS, with knowledge of payroll and people data
- Experience managing or coordinating payroll processes
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Confidence working with HR data and producing reports
- Experience supporting managers with employee relations and absence matters
- Good knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- Strong communication skills and a personable approach
- CIPD qualified or working towards a CIPD qualification would be advantageous
