Job Description
To provide day-to-day support to the People & Culture team while developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to build a career in HR, along with completing a Level 3 HR Support qualification.
Wage: £16,640 to £26,436.80, depending on your age
National Minimum Wage

Salary will start at the Apprenticeship wage but will be reviewed after successful completion of the probationary period.
Training course: HR support (level 3)
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 17:00, with 30 minutes for lunch. Friday, 08:00 - 14:00, with no break.
40 hours a week

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Provide first-line support for routine HR queries from employees and managers
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
- Prepare contracts, letters and other HR documentation
- Support recruitment, including vacancy administration and interview coordination
- Coordinate new starter onboarding and pre-employment checks
- Process employee changes, including promotions, transfers and contractual changes
- Support absence, family leave and other employee lifecycle processes
- Assist with the administration of employee relations cases
- Take notes at HR meetings where required
- Support learning, development and employee engagement activities
- Produce routine HR reports and maintain accurate people data
- Support leaver processes, including exit documentation
- Help ensure HR policies and processes are followed consistently
- Support HR projects and continuous improvement activities
- Handle employee information confidentially and in accordance with relevant requirements

What you'll learn
Course contents
Service Delivery: Delivers excellent customer service on a range of HR queries and requirements, providing solutions, advice and support primarily to managers. Builds managers’ expertise in HR matters, improving their ability to handle repeated situations themselves where appropriate. Uses agreed systems and processes to deliver service to customers. Takes the initiative to meet agreed individual and team KPIs in line with company policy, values, standards. Plans and organises their work, often without direct supervision, to meet commitments and KPIs.
Problem Solving: Uses sound questioning and active listening skills to understand requirements and establish root causes before developing HR solutions. Takes ownership through to resolution, escalating complex situations as appropriate.
Communication & Interpersonal: Deals effectively with customers/colleagues, using sound interpersonal skills and communicating well through a range of media eg phone, face to face, email, internet. Adapts their style to their audience. Builds trust and sound relationships with customers. Handles conflict and sensitive HR situations professionally and confidentially.
Teamwork: Consistently supports colleagues /collaborates within the team and HR to achieve results. Builds/maintains strong working relationships with others in the team and across HR where necessary.
Process Improvement: Identifies opportunities to improve HR performance and service; acts on them within the authority of their role. Supports implementation of HR changes/projects with the business.
Managing HR Information: Maintains required HR records as part of services delivered. Prepares reports and management information from HR data, with interpretation as required.
Personal Development: Keeps up to date with business changes and HR legal/policy/process changes relevant to their role. Seeks feedback and acts on it to improve their performance and overall capability.

Training schedule
Training will take place on-site via an online platform. This will be for half a day per week.
Desirable qualifications
- GCSE in:
- English (grade 5 or equivalent)
- Maths (grade 5 or equivalent)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

The primary objective of M.A.D.E, which forms part of the Mahindra Global Design Network which includes the Mahindra India Design Studio in Mumbai, is to conceive and create all future Mahindra EVs and advanced vehicle design concepts. Along with this, we have successfully been responsible for overseeing the production of the BE6 with many more in the pipeline!
M.A.D.E is equipped with state-of-the-art design tools, enabling it to handle end-to-end design activities including conceptualisation, 3D digital and visual modelling, Class-A surfacing and digital visualisation.
It also incorporates a complete digital visualisation suite, clay modelling studio, VR digital modelling and digital as well as physical presentation areas.
