HR Apprentice
VQ Solutions is seeking a personable, well organised and motivated individual to join NEP UK as an HR Apprentice. You will support their HR department with comprehensive administrative tasks, helping to ensure smooth HR operations. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to embark on a fulfilling HR career.
Key Responsibilities:

Employee Lifecycle Administration
- Draft and issue employment documentation including offer letters, contracts, change of terms letters, fixed-term extensions, probation outcomes, pension correspondence and leaver documentation
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records across HR systems, ensuring GDPR standards are upheld

On-boarding and Off-boarding
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes via our HRIS and other platforms, ensuring all compliance and training requirements are completed
- Liaise with IT and internal stakeholders to schedule inductions and ensure a smooth employee experience

Recruitment and HR Support
- Manage HR inbox queries, responding to routine enquiries (e.g. payroll, benefits, sickness, annual leave, references) and escalating where appropriate
- Coordinate recruitment activity, including managing careers/freelancer/work experience queries and scheduling interviews

HR Operations and Benefits Administration
- Support benefits administration, including pension communications and issuing eyecare vouchers
- Raise purchase orders for training, employee engagement initiatives and related HR expenditure

- Service Delivery
- Delivers excellent customer service on a range of HR queries and requirements, providing solutions, advice and support primarily to managers. Builds managers’ expertise in HR matters, improving their ability to handle repeated situations themselves where appropriate. Uses agreed systems and processes to deliver service to customers. Takes the initiative to meet agreed individual and team KPIs in line with company policy, values, standards. Plans and organises their work, often without direct supervision, to meet commitments and KPIs.

- Maintains required HR records as part of services delivered. Prepares reports and management information from HR data, with interpretation as required.

Training schedule
- You will work towards a Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship, delivered by VQ Solutions
- You will have a dedicated VQ Mentor and will also be supported internally by your manager
- During this apprenticeship, you will develop a portfolio, attend workshop sessions and have regular reviews
- The best part? All apprenticeship work will be completed during working hours
Essential qualifications
- GCSE in:
- Maths and English (grade Minimum C/4)
- Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
