Role details
Due to the substantive postholder securing a development opportunity within the HR team, we are seeking applications for a HR Support Officer to join our Human Resources team on a fixed term contract basis for up to two years.
If you recently applied for HR Support Officer (JR-999), you do not need to submit a further application for this vacancy. Applications for both roles will be considered together. Shortlisted candidates will be given the opportunity to indicate their preferred role at interview.
About the Role
The Human Resources (HR) team supports staff and managers with a broad spectrum of people-related issues. As our HR Support Officer, you will provide recruitment and administrative operations support to outcome directorates, contribute to policy and process improvement and ensure compliance with internal policy and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide recruitment and administrative operations support to outcome directorates
- Contribute to policy and process improvement
- Ensure compliance with internal policy and legislative requirements
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Combined Authority
- Build positive relationships and deliver excellent customer service
- Work confidently with databases and systems to support the wider HR team
