Location: Bailrigg, Lancaster, UK

Salary: £26,707 to £30,378 full time, fixed term

People and Organisational Effectiveness (PoE) are looking for an enthusiastic and solutions-focused HR Systems Advisor to join our HR Systems team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in supporting and developing the University's HR systems, including our HR and Payroll system, PeopleXD, and our e-Recruitment system, Stonefish.

As a HR Systems Advisor, you will provide specialist support across our HR systems, with a particular focus on the continued development of our Stonefish system as part of the University's ongoing review and improvement of recruitment practices.

You will work closely with colleagues across the University and our HR software suppliers to resolve issues and deliver system improvements.

You Will Also

  • Support the development and enhancement of our recruitment system and recruitment processes.
  • Assist with the coordination, design and implementation of system upgrades and developments.
  • Work with software suppliers to investigate and resolve system issues.
  • Produce accurate and meaningful Management Information using PeopleXD Insight and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ensure reporting complies with information security and Data Protection requirements.
  • Provide training and technical support to users of our HR and e-Recruitment systems.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and user guidance to support effective use of our systems.
  • Support colleagues within the HR Systems team with the resolution of system queries.
  • Keep your knowledge and skills up to date and contribute to service improvement, collaboration and innovation.

You will have an interest in HR systems and technology and be confident supporting users, investigating issues and identifying opportunities to improve processes.

You will be comfortable working with data and producing Management Information, with good attention to detail and experience of using Microsoft Excel. You will also be able to communicate clearly with a wide range of colleagues and build effective working relationships with both internal stakeholders and external software suppliers.

You will have the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to how our HR systems operate and develop while working with colleagues across the University and gaining experience across a broad range of HR systems activity.
