HR Systems & Data Specialist

What we are looking for
We're looking for an analytical and detail-oriented HR Systems & Data professional with a passion for HR technology, people data, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience working with HR systems and workforce data, strong problem-solving and reporting skills, and the ability to translate complex information into meaningful insights. You'll be a collaborative stakeholder manager with a keen eye for data quality, governance, and process optimisation, driven by a desire to support a modern, data-driven HR function.
What you'll be doing
- Manage and maintain HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and efficient system utilisation.
- Support a global HRIS review project, including system evaluation, enhancement, and future implementation activities.
- Oversee system upgrades, new features, enhancements, and user guidance documentation.
- Troubleshoot HR system and data issues, supporting governance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Deliver training and support to HR system users to maximise adoption and effectiveness.
- Produce, analyse, and present people metrics, reports, and workforce analytics to inform decision-making.
- Support key annual HR processes, including performance and compensation review cycles.
- Partner with HR, IT, Finance, Reward, HRBPs, and other stakeholders to streamline processes and improve data integration.
- Ensure GDPR compliance and best practice in the management of employee data.
- Drive data cleansing initiatives and improve processes for data quality and entry.
- Translate complex data into clear, accessible insights for stakeholders across the business.
- Work closely with vendors and internal teams to configure systems and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

Skills & Qualifications
- HR systems deployment, upgrade and administration experience.
- Project management or technical lead experience on HR systems deployment projects.
- Understanding of relational databases and related integrations, data analysis, data cleansing and report authoring.
- Advanced Excel (vlookups, formulae and pivot tables essential).
- PowerBi is highly desired, or with capability to learn on the job.
- Excellent attention to detail; ability to problem-solve.
- An effective communicator, ability to explain technical advice to colleagues in simple language.
- Ability to train/teach colleagues to use our HR systems, and report creation.
- Responsive to business needs, and, in time, able to predict business needs.
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills; adherence to deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve collaboratively.
- Ability to work with key stakeholders throughout the organisation to ensure systems are fully and accurately integrated with the firm’s related applications.
- Verbal and written communication skills and to be able to create technical design documents.
- Strong understanding of the workings of a HR department (ideally within the legal sector).
