HR Trainer - Heathrow Airport

Unifi Aviation UK & Ireland is a leading aviation services provider, delivering ground handling, cabin cleaning, baggage handling, security services and operational support to major airlines across the UK & Ireland. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced and engaging HR Trainer to help develop the skills, confidence and capability of our managers and future leaders across our airport network.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is passionate about people development and enjoys helping managers navigate real workplace challenges. You'll work closely with the HR Director, HR Business Partners and operational leaders to design and deliver practical learning programmes that improve leadership capability, strengthen employee relations knowledge and support a positive employee experience.

The Role

You'll be responsible for creating and delivering engaging management development programmes that equip leaders with the skills they need to confidently manage their teams. From coaching newly promoted managers to delivering workshops on performance management, difficult conversations, attendance, investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, you'll play a key role in improving management capability across the business.

This is not a compliance-focused training position. We are looking for someone who can translate HR and people management principles into practical, real-world learning that managers can immediately apply in a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver leadership and management development programmes.
  • Develop and facilitate training on employee relations, performance management, attendance management and workplace investigations.
  • Create practical learning materials, toolkits, manager guides and coaching resources.
  • Deliver onboarding and development programmes for new and newly promoted managers.
  • Coach managers through challenging people situations and help embed learning into everyday practice.
  • Identify management capability gaps and implement targeted development solutions.
  • Partner with HR and operational leaders across multiple airport locations.
  • Measure training effectiveness and continuously improve learning programmes and resources.

About You:

You will be an experienced HR, Learning & Development or Employee Relations professional with a strong understanding of people management and a passion for developing others.

Essential

  • Experience designing and delivering management or leadership training.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management and people management practices.
  • Experience coaching and supporting managers in challenging workplace situations.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build credibility with operational and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with experience managing multiple priorities.

Desirable

  • CIPD qualification or Learning & Development certification.
  • Experience within aviation, logistics, transport or a multi-site operational environment.
  • Experience creating digital learning content.
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and HR systems such as UKG.
