Job Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 HR Transactional Hub Advisor position within the HR Transactional Hub.
As many of you will be aware, the Hub continues to develop into a centralised shared service supporting Recruitment, Temporary Staffing, Rostering, Employee Services and Statutory & Mandatory Training administration across the Trust. As the service continues to grow and evolve, we are looking for an individual who is motivated, organised and committed to delivering a high-quality service to join the team.
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment, is solution-focused and is keen to further develop their knowledge and experience across transactional HR services.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will support a wide range of transactional processes and staff queries managed through the Employee Service Centre (ESC), ESR, HealthRoster and associated systems.
The role will involve supporting areas including:
- Recruitment and onboarding activity
- Temporary Staffing administration
- Employee Services transactional processing
- Rostering support activity
- Statutory & Mandatory Training administration
- Processing employee changes and maintaining accurate records
- Responding to queries from managers and employees
- Supporting wider Hub priorities and operational demands
The Hub operates as a shared service model and therefore flexibility, teamwork and a willingness to support across different workstreams are essential.

Education & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent level of knowledge gained through experience
- Evidence of IT literacy (Microsoft Office applications)
Desirable criteria
- Training in ESR or other workforce systems
- Additional administrative qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in an administrative role within a busy office environment
- Experience of maintaining electronic records and databases accurately
- Experience of handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately
- Experience of managing own workload and meeting deadlines
Desirable criteria
- Experience working within the NHS or public sector
- Experience supporting recruitment, temporary staffing, rostering, Statutory and Mandatory compliance within training and employee services administration
- Experience of using ESR or similar HR/payroll systems
Skills & Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Understanding of general office systems and administrative processes
- Awareness of data protection, confidentiality and information governance requirements
- Understanding of the importance of accuracy when processing employment-related information
