Job Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 HR Transactional Hub Advisor position within the HR Transactional Hub.
As many of you will be aware, the Hub continues to develop into a centralised shared service supporting Recruitment, Temporary Staffing, Rostering, Employee Services, and Statutory & Mandatory Training administration across the Trust. As the service continues to grow and evolve, we are looking for an individual who is motivated, organised, and committed to delivering a high-quality service to join the team.
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment, is solution-focused, and is keen to further develop their knowledge and experience across transactional HR services.
Main Duties of the Job
The successful candidate will support a wide range of transactional processes and staff queries managed through the Employee Service Centre (ESC), ESR, HealthRoster, and associated systems.
The role will involve supporting areas including:
- Recruitment and onboarding activity
- Temporary Staffing administration
- Employee Services transactional processing
- Rostering support activity
- Statutory & Mandatory Training administration
- Processing employee changes and maintaining accurate records
- Responding to queries from managers and employees
- Supporting wider Hub priorities and operational demands
The Hub operates as a shared service model, and therefore flexibility, teamwork, and a willingness to support across different workstreams are essential.
Working for Our Organisation
Central and North West London NHS Trust expects all staff to act in a way which shows you understand our core values and are willing to put them into practice with service users, their friend’s family and carers, and also other staff members.
We expect you to show COMPASSION, contribute to a caring and kind environment, and recognise that what you do and say can help make the lives of others better.
We expect you to RESPECT everyone and acknowledge and welcome people’s differences rather than ignore them or see them as problematic.
We expect you to EMPOWER others and continually try to provide information, resources, and support to help others make their own decisions and meet their own needs.
We expect you to work in PARTNERSHIP and behave in a way that shows that you recognise that commissioners and users of our services are the people who generate and pay for our work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
