Summary

This role involves providing professional HR consultancy and support to senior leaders, managers, and stakeholders within a local authority. The position focuses on complex people matters, organizational change, and workforce transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering workforce transformation programs, ensuring effective employee relations management, compliance with employment legislation, and the implementation of workforce strategies that enhance organizational performance and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Offer expert HR advice and guidance to Directors, Senior Managers, and line managers on complex employee relations issues.
• Support organizational change programs, including restructures, workforce planning, and transformation initiatives.
• Manage and provide advice on disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management, wellbeing, and other employee relations cases.
• Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation across the organization.
• Analyze workforce data and HR metrics to identify trends, inform decision-making, and recommend solutions.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders, operational managers, and HR colleagues to enhance organizational performance.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with trade unions and lead consultations when necessary.
