HR/ER Advisor
Lodge Security is looking for an HR/ER Advisor to join our dedicated People Team on a full-time, permanent basis. Operating on a hybrid model based in our Cirencester or Redditch office (minimum three days per week on-site), you will take direct ownership of end-to-end employee relations casework across our operational and support functions. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to frontline managers, translating employment legislation into sound, commercially balanced decisions while championing high standards across the business. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an active, varied employee relations caseload across the business, overseeing disciplinary, grievance, capability, conduct, and absence management matters from start to finish.
- Coach, advise, and upskill line managers throughout formal processes, guiding them through investigations, hearings, and appeals with sound people management advice.
- Produce precise, high-quality documentation, including comprehensive outcome letters, investigation reports, and case notes, while ensuring strict confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
- Keep internal HR policies up to date by tracking developments in UK employment legislation and integrating best practice into day-to-day operations.
- Partner with the HR Manager on complex ER issues and support strategic organisational changes, including restructures, consultations, and the integration of acquired businesses.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
