HRIS Technical Lead (12+ Month FTC)
Location: Central London
Working pattern: Full-time
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced HRIS Technical Lead to take ownership of the technical design, integration and delivery of our global SAP SuccessFactors platform. This is a key role within a major HR technology transformation, offering the opportunity to shape a scalable, secure and resilient HRIS ecosystem that supports a global workforce. You will lead technical delivery across the project lifecycle, working closely with HR, IT and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into effective technology solutions.
Alongside driving transformation, you will play a pivotal role in establishing a sustainable technical support model, improving system reliability and building internal capability to reduce reliance on external implementation partners. Based in Central London, this role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact within a purpose-led, internationally focused organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Architecture
- Own the end-to-end technical design and architecture of the SAP SuccessFactors platform.
- Define and oversee integration strategies across payroll, benefits and third-party applications.
- Ensure technical solutions are scalable, secure and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Drive technical quality, consistency and continuous improvement across the HRIS landscape.
Build & Delivery
- Lead technical delivery throughout the Analyse, Design, Build and Test phases of the transformation programme.
- Oversee system configuration, integrations, data migration and technical testing.
- Manage technical dependencies, risks and delivery milestones, ensuring high-quality releases.
- Work closely with functional leads and implementation partners to ensure solutions meet business requirements.

BAU & Support Model Enablement
- Establish and develop a scalable technical support model to ensure long-term platform stability.
- Drive system performance, availability and effective incident resolution.
- Strengthen internal technical capability and reduce dependency on external vendors.
- Support the development of a global, follow-the-sun support model where appropriate.
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Establish and maintain robust technical governance, access controls and change management processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection requirements, including GDPR, and applicable global regulations.
- Support audit readiness, risk management and the ongoing security of the HRIS environment.
- Embed appropriate controls and best practices across the platform lifecycle.
About You
You are an experienced HR technology professional with a strong technical background in enterprise HR systems and a track record of delivering complex transformation programmes. You combine technical expertise with the ability to influence stakeholders, lead delivery and translate business needs into sustainable technology solutions.
You will ideally bring:
- Significant experience in HRIS technical design, architecture and delivery, ideally with SAP SuccessFactors.
- Strong expertise in system integrations, APIs and complex global HR technology environments.
- A proven track record of leading technical delivery within large-scale transformation programmes.
- A sound understanding of enterprise architecture, data security, governance and compliance frameworks.
- Experience establishing or enhancing HRIS operational support models and driving continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to measure outcomes against defined KPIs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across diverse teams, cultures and geographies.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, including the preparation of technical reports and presentations.
- Experience in a global, multi-site or purpose-led organisation would be advantageous.
