Senior HRIS Advisor – Workday
Glasgow | Hybrid | Full Time | Permanent
Are you a Workday specialist with strong Absence & Time Tracking expertise? We’re working with a global professional services organisation investing significantly in its People technology and looking for a Senior HRIS Advisor to play a key role in the continued development of Workday.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership, covering the design, configuration and optimisation of Workday Absence & Time Tracking, while partnering with People, IT and wider stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective system solutions.
You’ll be involved in:
- Designing, configuring, testing and deploying Workday solutions across Absence & Time Tracking
- Translating business requirements into well-designed, scalable Workday solutions
- Leading and supporting change requests, system enhancements and continuous improvement
- Troubleshooting complex configuration and business process issues
- Working with IT on integrations and downstream system impacts
- Using tools including EIBs, PECI, reporting, People Analytics and Worksheets
- Supporting Workday releases and identifying opportunities to simplify and improve processes
- Working with an external provider and acting as a key escalation point
- Supporting training and knowledge sharing across the People team
- Guiding and supporting more junior members of the team

You’ll need:
- Strong, hands-on Workday experience within a medium/large and complex organisation
- Advanced/expert Workday configuration experience across Absence & Time Tracking
- Strong understanding of People processes and how these translate into system solutions
- Experience gathering requirements, designing solutions, configuring, testing and resolving issues end-to-end
- A good understanding of wider Workday functionality such as HCM, Recruitment, Talent, Compensation, Security, Reporting and Analytics
- Experience with EIBs and an understanding of integrations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
- The confidence to work with and influence stakeholders across a global environment
This isn’t simply a role maintaining an existing system. You’ll be joining at an exciting point in the organisation’s People technology journey, with significant investment already underway and plenty of scope to influence how Workday is configured, optimised and used across the business.
