HRIS Specialist – Workday
Glasgow | Hybrid | Contract
Job Overview
Workday expertise. Immediate impact.
We’re looking for an experienced HRIS Specialist with strong Workday Absence & Time Tracking expertise to join a global professional services organisation on a contract basis.
This is an opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running, bringing hands-on configuration expertise and helping drive optimisation and continuous improvement across the Workday environment.
Responsibilities
You’ll be involved in:
- Hands-on Workday configuration across Absence & Time Tracking
- Gathering requirements and translating these into effective system solutions
- Designing, configuring and testing system changes
- Managing enhancements and change requests
- Troubleshooting complex configuration and business process issues
- Supporting Workday releases and assessing their impact
- Working closely with People and IT stakeholders
- Supporting integrations and downstream system impacts
- Using EIBs, PECI, reporting, People Analytics and Worksheets
- Working with an external provider and providing specialist escalation support

Requirements
You’ll need:
- Strong, hands-on Workday experience
- Advanced/expert configuration experience across Absence & Time Tracking
- Experience within a medium/large and complex organisation
- Strong understanding of People processes and how they translate into Workday
- Experience across requirements, design, configuration, testing and implementation
- Experience with EIBs and an understanding of integrations
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders
