HR & ER Process & ServiceNow Design Authority
Contract - 6 Months
Outside IR35
Immediate Start
We are looking for an experienced HR & ER Process / ServiceNow Design Authority to help shape and deliver the future state of their HR and Employee Relations (ER) service model.
This is a senior role sitting at the intersection of HR/ER transformation, operating model design, and ServiceNow HRSD. You will work closely with senior HR and ER stakeholders to assess current ways of working, define the future state, and translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the senior SME for HR and Employee Relations, bringing strong knowledge of the end-to-end employee lifecycle and ER casework, including grievances, disciplinaries, investigations, absence, and performance.
- Build strong relationships with senior HR and ER stakeholders, challenging current processes, and identifying opportunities for standardisation, simplification, and automation.
- Assess existing global and regional HR/ER processes and help define an effective future-state operating model and governance structure.
- Shape the ServiceNow HRSD and Employee Relations roadmap, identifying opportunities to improve employee journeys, case management, knowledge management, and automation.
- Translate HR/ER requirements into ServiceNow HRSD capabilities, advising on configuration versus customisation and appropriate delivery phasing.
- Provide design authority across HR/ER processes, data, and ServiceNow solutions, ensuring designs are scalable and aligned with the wider platform roadmap.
- Advise senior stakeholders and steering committees on prioritisation, sequencing, and transformation opportunities.
- Support the adoption of new ServiceNow capabilities through training, knowledge transfer, and stakeholder engagement.
- Help optimise employee journeys across key lifecycle events, including joiners, movers, and leavers.
- Identify opportunities to leverage Virtual Agent, workflow automation, case routing, and knowledge management to improve HR service delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
