Head Registered Veterinary Nurse – West London

Salary: £40,000 per annum | Full-Time | Leadership Experience Not Essential

Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) ready to take the next step in your veterinary nursing career?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join two well-established small animal practices in West London.

Importantly, previous leadership experience isn't essential. This role could be ideal for a confident RVN who is ready to take on greater responsibility, develop their leadership skills and make a real difference within a supportive clinical environment.

The Role

Working across two established practices, you'll work closely with experienced clinical teams to help maintain high standards of patient care while supporting the ongoing development of the nursing teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an RVN who wants greater autonomy, responsibility and career progression without necessarily having previous experience in a formal leadership position.

You'll be supported by experienced veterinary professionals and have access to a wider network of clinical expertise and development opportunities.

Working Pattern

  • 40 hours per week
  • Shared weekend rota at a nearby 24-hour veterinary hospital
  • Approximately 1:4–1:6 weekend commitment
  • Opportunity to develop your leadership and management skills

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
