QHSE & Facilities Advisor

Join GXO as a QHSE & Facilities Advisor and play a key role in supporting a safe, compliant and efficient operation on our Amazon contract in Avonmouth. Working closely with site leaders, colleagues and contractors, you'll help drive health & safety standards, support facilities management activities and ensure compliance requirements are consistently met. This is a varied role offering exposure across safety, environmental and facilities functions, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing positive behaviours and making a real difference within a fast-paced operational environment.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £34,999.92 per annum, and 33 days inclusive of bank holidays. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Support the delivery of health, safety, environmental and quality standards across the site
- Conduct audits, inspections and workplace checks to identify risks and drive improvements
- Manage contractor compliance, including permits to work, inductions and site documentation
- Investigate incidents, track corrective actions and support the implementation of preventative measures
- Maintain compliance records and work closely with operational teams to promote a positive safety culture
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent health & safety qualification
- Previous experience in a QHSE, Health & Safety or Facilities role within an operational environment
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, risk assessments and contractor management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence positive behaviours
- A proactive and organised approach, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
