We are currently recruiting a HSE Advisor to join our Shoreham office. Ideally this position is to start as soon as possible although applicants on notice will also be readily considered.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as site advisor for all HSE requirements and ensure they are delivered throughout the STC site.
  • Understand local regulatory standard requirements and define their impact on the business.
  • Investigate all near misses and accidents ensuring the root cause is established and lessons are learnt.
  • Show leadership in ensuring compliance to the relevant standards, including ISO9001, ISO14001 and IS045001.
  • Work with the Head of HSEQ, wider HSEQ team to identify and fulfil HSEQ training throughout Ricardo.
  • Undertake a share of internal management system audits, as identified by the Ricardo Audit program.
  • Carry out regular office and site inspections.
  • Co-ordinate and host LRQA audits and provide input to audit themes.
  • Management of HSEQ audits findings relevant to the role.
  • Provision of regular status reporting to the Head of HSEQ in relation to the trends, status, key issues and actions surrounding the HSEQ function.
  • Review and provide input to emergency plans, including environmental emergencies.
  • Management of environmental permits.
  • Responsible for waste stream tracking, ensuring full traceability of all waste streams.
  • Develop and manage environmental Aspect and Impacts.
  • Management and the effectiveness of occupational health programme for STC.
  • Provide effective document framework and guidance for HSE for fuel storage systems – Fuel Farm, Hydrogen and all gas complete compliance by providing evidence of checks undertaken.
  • Complete HSEQ Inductions for new starters and ensure periodic refresher training.
  • Adherence of STC to Contractor/CDM process reviews method statements, SSOW
