Are you a practical HSE Advisor looking for more ownership, visibility and influence?

We are recruiting for a fast-growing UK energy business with an entrepreneurial leadership team, ambitious growth plans and a genuinely collegiate culture.

This is a business where people work closely together, decisions are made quickly and good ideas are acted upon.

You will join a busy operational energy and waste-processing facility in Lanarkshire, working closely with the Plant Manager, Operations Team and Group Health and Safety leadership.

This is not a desk-based compliance role.

You will be visible across the site, building strong relationships with employees, managers and contractors while taking ownership of day-to-day health and safety performance.

The role

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing practical health and safety advice across the site
  • Leading audits, inspections and risk assessments
  • Investigating incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions
  • Completing root-cause analysis and tracking corrective actions
  • Managing contractor safety, RAMS and permit compliance
  • Supporting behavioural safety and employee engagement
  • Reviewing and improving site policies and procedures
  • Supporting ISO 45001 and wider management systems
  • Producing clear HSE reports for site and Group leadership
  • Supporting planned maintenance shutdowns and outage activity
  • Advising on safe systems of work and operational risk
  • Liaising with contractors, regulators and external stakeholders

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
