Key Responsibilities:
- Lead health, safety and environmental compliance across the site, conducting risk assessments and implementing controls for key areas including machinery safety, chemical safety, ergonomics and workplace transport.
- Drive continuous improvement through the delivery of safety and environmental projects, supporting the achievement of best-in-class performance and sustainability objectives.
- Manage and conduct internal audits of health, safety and environmental management systems, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
- Carry out site inspections, monitor key performance indicators, and analyse health, safety and environmental data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Develop, implement and deliver training on health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and behavioural safety programmes to strengthen site-wide engagement and performance.
- Build strong relationships across the business and with external stakeholders, supporting new product introductions, leading safety forums, and managing interactions with regulatory bodies including the Health & Safety Executive and Environment Agency.

The Ideal Candidate:
We're looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental professional who can confidently influence stakeholders, drive positive change, and promote a strong safety culture across the site. Ideally, you'll hold a NEBOSH Diploma, a degree-level qualification, and membership of IOSH or IEMA, although equivalent experience will also be considered. You'll be a strong communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams, provide clear direction, and deliver practical solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A proactive approach, leadership capability, and a passion for continuous improvement will be key to success in this role.
