Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor
Business Unit: Renewables England
Role Purpose
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Omexom. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop their skills and gain valuable experience in health and safety.
Responsibilities & Duties
This is not an exhaustive list and the role will grow with the candidate's experience.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.
- Safety Audits: Assist in conducting safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Training: Support the development and delivery of health and safety training programs for employees.
- Legislation Monitoring: Stay updated with changes in health and safety legislation and ensure the organisation remains compliant.
- Incident Investigation: Participate in the investigation of accidents and incidents, and recommend corrective actions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety activities.
- Project Support: Provide health and safety support for various projects within the business unit.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: A degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Certification: NEBOSH diploma or equivalent health and safety qualification.
- Driving Licence: A full driving license is required.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Experience: Any relevant health and safety experience or training.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve health and safety issues effectively.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations: Understanding and applying health and safety laws and regulations is crucial.
