With an impressive portfolio of complex marine projects across the UK, Europe, North America, and beyond, they are investing heavily in the continued growth of their Offshore Renewable Energy division.
Role Overview
Based within the UK operations team and reporting directly to the HSE Manager, the HSE Advisor will play a key role in ensuring vessels, equipment, suppliers, and project teams are fully prepared for safe and compliant offshore operations. Working across project planning, vessel readiness, quality assurance, quality control, and operational delivery, you'll help maintain the highest standards of HSE performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
HSE Support & Compliance
- Support the HSE Manager in delivering Health, Safety, and Environmental objectives across offshore energy projects.
- Assist in implementing HSE policies, procedures, and management systems aligned with UK, EU, and offshore industry regulations.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching, engagement, and visible leadership.
- Support incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action tracking.
- Assist with HSE performance reporting and compliance documentation.
Vessel Inspection & Readiness
- Coordinate and support vessel HSE readiness inspections prior to mobilisation.
- Verify vessels meet project, client, and regulatory HSE requirements before offshore operations commence.
- Support mobilisation and demobilisation activities, ensuring readiness documentation is complete and accurate.
- Participate in vessel audits and inspections, identifying improvement opportunities and tracking close-out actions.

Quality Assurance & Quality Control
- Support QA and QC activities across offshore projects, helping ensure work is delivered in accordance with company standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with internal audits, supplier audits, and verification activities.
- Monitor compliance with project procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Help maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and assurance documentation.
Operational Support
- Participate in offshore and onshore project meetings, including kick-off meetings, toolbox talks, and HSE workshops.
- Assist with risk assessments, method statement reviews, and permit-to-work processes.
- Support contractors and suppliers in meeting HSE and quality expectations.
- Monitor project activities and provide practical advice to help maintain safe and efficient operations.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to lessons learned reviews and improvement initiatives.
- Support HSE campaigns, training activities, and workforce engagement programmes.
- Help identify trends through inspections and audits, recommending preventative actions where required.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
- NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction, or equivalent HSE qualification.
- Experience working within offshore energy, offshore wind, marine, dredging, subsea, or maritime construction environments.
- Experience supporting vessel inspections, mobilisation activities, or offshore readiness programmes.
- Working knowledge of ISO management systems, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.
- Understanding of UK and European offshore regulatory requirements.

- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct inspections, audits, and compliance verification.
- Confident communicator who can build positive relationships with vessel crews, project teams, clients, and suppliers.
- Practical problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk management.
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic offshore environments and manage competing priorities.
Travel & Working Environment
- Based from the UK office with regular travel to ports, shipyards, and offshore project locations across the UK and Europe.
- Hybrid working available where operational requirements allow.
- International travel may be required to support vessel mobilisation, inspections, and project delivery.
