About the Role
As an HSE Advisor, you will play a key role in promoting a positive Health, Safety and Environmental culture across our manufacturing operations in Great Yarmouth. Working closely with operational leaders and employees, you will provide expert HSE guidance, support legal compliance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our Health, Safety and Environmental Management System.
This is a hands-on role where you'll spend time engaging with employees across multiple sites, identifying opportunities to reduce risk, supporting incident investigations, delivering HSE initiatives and helping to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional Health, Safety and Environmental advice and support to managers and employees.
- Promote a proactive HSE culture through coaching, communication and employee engagement.
- Conduct and review risk assessments, ensuring effective control measures are implemented.
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Maintain and continuously improve Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
- Support compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems through audits and continuous improvement activities.
- Carry out workplace inspections, audits and routine HSE monitoring across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks and awareness training.
- Support contractor management and promote safe systems of work.
- Assist with environmental compliance activities, monitoring programmes and sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain accurate HSE records, reports and performance data.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies where required.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in an HSE advisory role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all organisational levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent).
- IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management.
- Experience delivering HSE training.
- Experience within heavy engineering or similar industrial manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of lifting and slinging operations.
