The Role
We are looking for a Health, Safety and Environment Assistant who possesses a tenacious, problem-solving nature, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to HSE issues. The candidate will work to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO13485:2016 standards.
The Key Responsibilities
- Interaction and Completion of QEHS Management System.
- Complying and enforcing activities related to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and HSE legislation, as well as other regulations that apply to the business.
- Liaising with regulatory bodies in conjunction with the Site Management.
- Reporting to senior management on the performance and effectiveness of the HSE of the site.
- Reporting to Global Functions and participating in relevant meetings, this will require some engagement and presentation as required.
- Coordinating the completion and update of OH&S Risk Assessments.
- Managing the HSE internal audit process, and nonconformance log.
- Delivering EHS induction training.
- Promoting awareness of Quality, Environment, and OH&S regulatory and customer requirements to top management and the management team.
- Ensuring globally assigned KPIs are attained at a site level and reporting progress to global EHS.
- Leading the HSE committee and promoting a safe working culture.
- Promoting and checking of Manufacturing Quality Standards.
- Auditing of Paperwork and compliance.
- Conducting Safety Walks throughout the site.
- Performing Regular Inspections to ensure compliance with health and Safety.
- Managing quality related activities and the implementation of quality standards.

Must-Haves
- IOSH Managing Safely.
- Demonstrable experience of operating in a HSE role.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
- Certified in NEBOSH General.
- Experience of a Manufacturing Environment.
- Full UK Driving License.
Nice-to-Haves
- Certified in NEBOSH Environmental.
- Certified in NEBOSH Diploma.
- Bachelor or Advanced Degree in relevant field.
- Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals. (ISEP).
