Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced HSE Coach to support offshore operations by driving a positive safety culture through visible leadership and behavioural coaching. The successful candidate will work closely with offshore personnel to reinforce safe working practices, promote behavioural safety principles, and provide practical, real-time coaching that supports incident-free operations.
Experience supporting offshore lifting operations, including heavy lift campaigns and/or lifting barges, is an essential requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily Behavioural Safety Observations (BSOs) and provide constructive coaching and feedback to offshore personnel.
- Promote and reinforce the company's Golden Rules, Life Saving Rules, and Stop Work Authority.
- Coach personnel on the effective application of the HSE Management System (HSE-MS), including:
- Permit to Work (PTW)
- Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
- Task Risk Assessment (TRA)
- Management of Change (MOC)
- Isolation procedures
- Support safe execution of offshore lifting activities by promoting best practice and reinforcing lifting safety requirements.
- Facilitate toolbox talks, behavioural safety workshops, and safety stand-downs.
- Identify behavioural trends and contribute to incident investigations, with a focus on human factors and organisational learning.
- Mentor and support Short Service Employees (SSEs) and promote a positive speak-up culture.
- Act as a visible HSE leader offshore, positively influencing safe behaviours across all disciplines.

Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Minimum 8-10 years' HSE experience within the offshore oil & gas industry.
- Proven experience working as an HSE Coach, Behavioural Safety Coach, or in a similar behavioural safety role on offshore assets.
- Previous experience supporting offshore lifting operations, heavy lift campaigns, or working on a lifting barge (essential).
- Strong understanding of offshore lifting activities, lifting risk management, and associated HSE requirements.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent.
- Valid BOSIET and offshore medical.
- Excellent coaching, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to engage personnel at all organisational levels.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Desirable
- Experience supporting major construction, installation, hook-up, commissioning, or decommissioning campaigns.
- Human Factors or Behavioural Safety qualification/training.
- Incident investigation training (e.g. ICAM, TapRooT, Tripod Beta or similar).
Contract Details
- Contract position.
- Outside IR35 (Ltd Company engagement).
- Competitive daily rate.
- Standard offshore package including accommodation and meals.
- Rotation and mobilisation details to be confirmed.
