IIHSE is an international community that brings together professionals, academics, students, organizations and volunteers working across the fields of health, safety and the environment.
We develop projects that protect human health, promote safer workplaces and communities, and contribute to environmental sustainability. We are looking for Volunteer Project Leaders who are ready to take responsibility for helping us develop and deliver these initiatives.
Areas of Contribution
Depending on your interests, experience and skills, you may contribute to one or more of the following areas:

Events & Organization
- Support the planning and delivery of online and in-person events, including task coordination, stakeholder communication and post-event evaluation.

Social Media & Communications
- Support communication plans for projects and events, and contribute to the preparation of social media content, announcements, news updates and informative materials.

Research & Content Development
- Conduct research in health, safety, environment and sustainability; contribute to reports, guidance documents and professional content; and follow emerging practices, standards and relevant legislation.

- Institutional Relations
- Support the development of partnerships with universities, NGOs, public institutions and private-sector organizations, and help identify potential partners, collaborators and supporters.
What We Are Looking For
- Ability to turn an idea into a structured and measurable project
- Willingness to take responsibility throughout the planning, implementation and evaluation stages
- Commitment to teamwork, open communication and effective time management
- Interest in health, safety, environmental sustainability and social impact
- Commitment to acting in accordance with IIHSE's ethical values and principles
There are no specific requirements regarding profession, level of education or previous experience. Students, recent graduates, professionals, academics and retirees are all welcome to apply.
Applications will be evaluated primarily on your motivation, the areas in which you would like to contribute, and your willingness to take responsibility for projects.
