Site HSE Manager for Nuclear Erection Activities on Pumping Station Mechanical and Piping Scope
Reporting to the Project Director and acting as the main HSE communication link with NNB on all HSE matters. You will hold Stop Work Authority, with the ability to stop any activity presenting a serious non-conformity to safety and environmental legislation or to HPC site-specific requirements. After the ramp-up phase you will lead a team of three to five HSE officers.
Establishing the Full H&S Documentation Package to HPC Requirements:
- Health and Safety Plans
- Construction Environment Management Plan
- Site Waste Management Plan
- Security Management Plan
- Risk Assessment Method Statements

Responsibilities
- Manage the HSE system across the full duration of the contract
- Ensure all personnel onboarding the project complete the required HSE training and qualifications, refreshed as the project progresses
- Act as the primary HSE interface with NNB
- Build, lead and develop the HSE officer team as the project scales

Requirements
- Engineer or qualified technician with legal and professional inspection skills, working to the UK HSE legal referential
- Minimum four years in health and safety coordination and management on UK projects
- Experience of nuclear new build construction strongly preferred
- Familiarity with HPC site-specific requirements is a significant advantage
- Proven experience authoring H&S plans, CEMPs, site waste management plans, security plans and RAMS
- Experience managing an HSE team
