Health, Safety and Environment Manager

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £55,000 + Benefits + Career Development + Autonomy

About the Business

This is your chance to join a major player in the UK food manufacturing sector, operating across multiple categories including chilled and bakery. The business supplies premium products to major UK retailers and food service clients, delivering consistent quality across a wide range of household favourites. With a focus on high standards, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, the company supports long-term career progression and values resilience and accountability.

About the Role

We are looking for a capable and driven HSE Manager to take the lead at a high-performing manufacturing site with a reputation for excellence in both food safety and workplace health & safety. This site has been recognised with national awards and holds one of the highest internal compliance audit ratings within the group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of health, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring site-wide engagement and legal adherence in a complex, fast-paced bakery environment. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, quality, and technical, driving safe behaviours and supporting audit readiness, training, and continuous improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
