DP World, the fast-growing transportation and logistics leader that currently manages more than 10% of world trade, is thrilled to announce a new Contract Logistics launch in Topoľčany, Slovakia!
We are seeking an enthusiastic HSE Technician to help build a strong safety culture from the ground up. Reporting to the HSEQ Supervisor, you will support the assigned operations in maintaining compliance with Slovak occupational health and safety legislation, including Act No. 124/2006 Coll., as well as DP World HSE standards.
You will identify workplace hazards, assess occupational risks, recommend preventive measures, conduct inspections, deliver mandatory safety training, support incident investigations, and maintain accurate statutory documentation. Acting as a trusted source of professional advice, you will work closely with managers and colleagues to promote safe behaviours and continuous improvement, while ensuring that line management retains accountability for workplace safety.
Salary range: 13.100 – 20.672 Euro Gross per year

Your Responsibilities:
- Monitoring changes in Slovak occupational health and safety legislation, including Act No. 124/2006 Coll., the Labour Code, government regulations, and relevant technical standards.
- Embedding applicable legal requirements into company procedures and supporting management during inspections by labour authorities and other regulatory bodies.
- Identifying workplace hazards and preparing, maintaining, and reviewing occupational risk assessments following changes to technology, processes, legislation, or working conditions.
- Recommending preventive and protective measures to eliminate or minimise identified risks.
- Conducting regular workplace safety inspections and audits to assess compliance with legal requirements, internal procedures, and DP World HSE standards.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date risk assessments, safe working procedures, emergency procedures, H&S registers, accident records, and training records.
- Managing inspection reports, contractor H&S documentation, and legal-compliance records in line with statutory and company requirements.
- Organising and delivering mandatory H&S training, including employee and contractor inductions, refresher training, toolbox talks, visitor briefings, and specialised safety programmes.
- Supporting the investigation of occupational accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences through structured root-cause analysis, recommending corrective and preventive actions, monitoring their implementation, and preparing reports required under Slovak legislation.
- Supporting emergency planning, drills, and business-continuity activities from an HSE perspective.
- Cooperating with Fire Protection specialists and relevant internal stakeholders to strengthen emergency readiness.

Your Profile:
- Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline, or education meeting Slovak legal requirements for performing the role of Safety Technician.
Mandatory Requirements
- Certification as a Safety Technician (Bezpečnostný technik) in accordance with Act No. 124/2006 Coll.
- Knowledge of Slovak occupational health and safety legislation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and English at minimum B2 level.
- Possession of a valid Category B driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Qualification as an ISO 45001 Internal Auditor.
- Experience in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or another operational environment.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation, Fire Protection, and First Aid principles.
