What you’ll need to do the role:

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working in an operational HSEQ role, ideally within facilities management, leisure, environmental services or a similar service-led environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety and environmental legislation, with the ability to apply this practically in an operational setting.
• Experience of working with, implementing or improving management systems and a good understanding of ISO standards and assessment processes.
• Experience of conducting audits, inspections and compliance assessments, with recognised auditing or compliance skills.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and workloads, making decisions based on risk and business needs.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, while also being confident working independently and taking accountability for decisions.
• A full, clean driving licence and the ability to travel regularly across the South of England and wider UK as required.
• Flexibility to work occasional out-of-hours when required to support contracts operating 24/7 services.
