About us

VolkerHighways is a market leader in the delivery of highways and street lighting term maintenance contracts. We build strong collaborative relationships with our clients to drive improvements and efficiency in all our activities.

We have the capability to deliver major surfacing and public realm infrastructure projects. Our specialist in-house traffic management division provides expert advice and support across the industry, whilst assisting with our own, in-house contracts.

About the role

As an HSEQS Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the HSEQ & Sustainability function by ensuring the accurate collection, management and reporting of business-critical data. You will work closely with operational teams and stakeholders across the business to maintain data integrity, support reporting requirements and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

The role will involve a combination of office-based and occasional site-based support across all VolkerHighways contracts in the South East & South West.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collate, validate and input HSEQS and Sustainability data, ensuring accuracy and integrity across company reporting measures.
  • Support the timely provision of data in line with reporting deadlines and programme timescales.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data collection processes and reporting efficiencies.
  • Maintain and update information across key business systems.
  • Provide administrative support to the wider HSEQ & Sustainability team.
  • Assist contract teams with system queries and data management requirements.
  • Produce reports, analyse trends and highlight any issues or anomalies within data sets.
  • Undertake ad hoc duties as required to support departmental objectives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
