Betting Jobs is working with a successful iGaming group, with offices in South Africa & London, looking to hire an experienced HTML Developer to join their B2B game studio.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain interactive, game-like UI components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for a mobile-first environment
- Implement gamification elements such as: Progress indicators and meters, Persistent states (e.g. collected items, activated features), Animations, transitions & visual feedback, and Reward and unlock sequences.
- Translate UI and interaction designs into high-quality, responsive layouts
- Work with designers to refine timing, motion, and visual clarity of interactive elements
- Understand and comprehend CMS systems to facilitate the building of the gamification
- Ensure interfaces perform smoothly across all platforms and devices
- Maintain clean, modular, and reusable front-end code
- Debug and optimise interactive elements for performance and stability

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience building interactive UI components, not just static pages
- Solid understanding of CSS animations, transitions, and transforms
- Familiarity with managing UI state and dynamic updates
- Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development
- Ability to work accurately from design mockups and interaction specs
- Comfortable collaborating in a multidisciplinary team environment

Nice to Have
- Experience working on games, gamified products, or interactive media
- Familiarity with canvas, SVG animations, or lightweight animation libraries
- Experience with frameworks or tooling (e.g. React, Vue, or similar)
- Understanding of game UX principles (player feedback, anticipation, reward timing)
- Interest in game mechanics, player psychology, or interactive storytelling
