Betting Jobs is working with a successful iGaming group, with offices in South Africa & London, looking to hire an experienced HTML Developer to join their B2B game studio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain interactive, game-like UI components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for a mobile-first environment
  • Implement gamification elements such as: Progress indicators and meters, Persistent states (e.g. collected items, activated features), Animations, transitions & visual feedback, and Reward and unlock sequences.
  • Translate UI and interaction designs into high-quality, responsive layouts
  • Work with designers to refine timing, motion, and visual clarity of interactive elements
  • Understand and comprehend CMS systems to facilitate the building of the gamification
  • Ensure interfaces perform smoothly across all platforms and devices
  • Maintain clean, modular, and reusable front-end code
  • Debug and optimise interactive elements for performance and stability

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Experience building interactive UI components, not just static pages
  • Solid understanding of CSS animations, transitions, and transforms
  • Familiarity with managing UI state and dynamic updates
  • Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development
  • Ability to work accurately from design mockups and interaction specs
  • Comfortable collaborating in a multidisciplinary team environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience working on games, gamified products, or interactive media
  • Familiarity with canvas, SVG animations, or lightweight animation libraries
  • Experience with frameworks or tooling (e.g. React, Vue, or similar)
  • Understanding of game UX principles (player feedback, anticipation, reward timing)
  • Interest in game mechanics, player psychology, or interactive storytelling
