HTML Developer (Gamification & Interactive Experiences)
£45,000 - £60,000 | Remote
Are you passionate about creating interactive digital experiences that keep users engaged?
We're looking for an HTML Developer to help build engaging, game-inspired experiences for a growing product team. This is a unique opportunity to work on highly interactive products where progression, rewards, feedback and user engagement are central to the experience.
Rather than focusing on traditional websites, you'll be creating responsive, dynamic interfaces that bring gamification concepts to life. Working closely with designers and product teams, you'll transform ideas and mechanics into polished experiences that feel intuitive, rewarding and enjoyable to use.
The Role
You'll be responsible for developing engaging front-end experiences using modern web technologies, creating features such as progression systems, achievements, rewards, animations, interactive feedback and dynamic user journeys. You'll work closely with design teams to ensure every interaction feels seamless and purposeful while maintaining high standards of performance, usability and code quality.

What You'll Need
- Strong commercial experience with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience building interactive applications, products or browser-based experiences
- Understanding of dynamic UI states and user interaction patterns
- Experience implementing animations, transitions and visual feedback
- Strong responsive and mobile-first development skills
- Ability to work from design mock-ups and interaction specifications
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- A genuine passion for creating engaging digital experiences

Desirable Experience
- Gaming, gamification or interactive media experience
- PixiJS, Phaser, Canvas or SVG animation experience
- React, Vue or similar JavaScript frameworks
- Understanding of engagement loops, reward systems and player psychology
- Experience working with CMS-driven platforms
