About The Role
The company is currently looking for an experienced HTML Email Developer to join their team on a 2-3 month contract basis. This role is pivotal in designing, building, and executing high-quality marketing emails that resonate with target audiences. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing responsive email templates, managing complex campaign scenarios, and ensuring optimal email deliverability and performance. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, with occasional travel to Leicester for team meetings and project collaborations. The successful candidate will work closely with marketing strategists, designers, and analytics teams to deliver compelling email campaigns that meet client objectives and enhance overall marketing effectiveness.

Qualifications
- Strong background in HTML and CSS, with proven experience in email development
- Familiarity with email service providers (ESPs), particularly Bloomreach Engage
- Solid understanding of email best practices, including responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
- Experience with campaign management, scenario building, and performance monitoring
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting
- A portfolio of previous email projects or a demonstration of technical proficiency will be an added advantage
Responsibilities
- Develop and code responsive, visually appealing marketing emails using HTML and CSS that align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives
- Manage and execute complex email campaign scenarios within the ESP platform, ensuring seamless automation and personalization
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to translate creative concepts into functional email templates
- Monitor email performance metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions to optimize future campaigns
- Conduct thorough testing across various email clients and devices to ensure consistent rendering and functionality
- Maintain and update email templates, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues related to email delivery or rendering
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in email marketing and development to continuously improve campaign effectiveness
