£38,625 per annum + Benefits | Bath

Permanent | Full Time | 40 hours per week
Including evenings and weekends

Hybrid: onsite at hub with occasional travel

As our new Hub Operations Manager you'll lead the day-to-day running of our operational hub, ensuring efficient service delivery, well-maintained facilities and an engaged, high-performing team. This is a hands-on operational leadership role where you'll combine people management, process improvement and practical problem-solving to keep services running smoothly for colleagues and customers across the region.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage the hub's daily operations, overseeing incoming and outgoing workflows, service schedules and resource allocation
  • Lead, coach and develop a multi-disciplinary team including administrators, logistics staff and contractors, fostering a positive and inclusive culture
  • Implement and maintain operational processes and performance measures to meet service standards and targets
  • Coordinate the hub's workload using mobile and cloud-based systems, ensuring accurate records and timely updates for colleagues in the field
  • Oversee stock, equipment and vehicle allocation, ensuring all assets are safe, compliant and fit for purpose
  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners to resolve operational issues and support continuous improvement projects
  • Manage health, safety and compliance within the hub, conducting regular checks and driving best practice
  • Prepare operational reports and contribute to budgeting, forecasting and procurement activities
  • Work flexibly to support peak periods and on-call arrangements as required

We're looking for an organised, proactive manager who thrives on improving systems and supporting teams. The ideal person will combine practical operations experience with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering excellent customer outcomes.

  • Proven operational management experience - ideally in logistics, facilities or field operations
  • People leadership - experience supervising and developing staff, promoting an inclusive team culture
  • Organised and decisive - able to prioritise and resolve issues under pressure
  • Excellent communication - able to liaise across teams and with external partners
  • IT literate - comfortable with mobile and cloud-based systems for scheduling, stock control and reporting
  • Committed to health & safety - experience managing compliance within an operational setting
  • Full UK driving licence - desirable, as occasional travel may be required
