Hub Scheduler - Temporary

Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Hub Scheduler to join our Programme and Contract Management team on a 12-month fixed-term contract based out of our Head Office in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire.

  • Schedule reactive, programmed, and emergency works to ensure sufficient workload is allocated to operational resources to achieve optimum productivity.
  • Triage defect notifications and allocate work, using an asset and works management system.
  • Submit roadwork permits and applications, ensuring information is accurate, compliant, and timely to meet deadlines.
  • Arrange sub-contractors to assist in the delivery of work when necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that works information is received within agreed timeframes.
  • Comply with internal and external standards of statutory responsibilities, duties, policies, and procedures to ensure a consistent and high-quality service is maintained.
  • Assist with the input and management of data associated with attendance to incidents on the network to maintain detailed manual and electronic records to support cost recovery.
  • Provide flexible support during adverse weather events to maintain a consistent and high-quality service.

What We're Seeking

  • Knowledge gained through practical experience in a works programming/scheduling environment.
  • Experience of working in a highways-related environment.
  • Strong ICT skills with experience of using applications including Microsoft Word and Excel, email, and the internet.
  • Experience of providing information to, and dealing with internal and external customers in person, via email, or over the phone.
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritize workload and react to enquiries in a busy office environment, working efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Good numeracy skills and an aptitude to produce high standards of accuracy when manipulating data.
