What You'll Be Doing

Lodestone House is proud to deliver catering services across some of the UK’s leading independent schools, creating fresh, nutritious and exciting food that brings people together.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Hub Sous Chef to join our catering team at Uppingham School. Working within the Hub, you will play an important role in the preparation and delivery of high-quality food across the School’s catering operation.

Uppingham is a vibrant co-educational boarding school where its houses are at the heart of school life. With pupils and staff eating together as a house community, the Hub plays an important role in ensuring food is fresh, nutritious and consistently delivered to a high standard.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Sous Chef who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment, supporting a team and producing high-quality food at scale.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
